As a start-up non-profit organization, The Steward's Staff is poised and ready to multiply its impact rapidly and cost-effectively. From new curriculum, to an expanding presence in Metro Louisville, your gifts will be put to work. That’s why your partnership is so important. The Steward's Staff is an effective and efficient avenue in bridging social divides in the world. The Steward's Staff’s 2007—2008 GOALS
- Award a minimum of $30,000 in scholarships
- Increase the number of Staff Partners (volunteers)
- Program expansion:
- The Steward's Staff aims to have an ETHICS Society in at least five JCPS high schools
- Increase members efficacy in the following areas by 30%: leadership development, community service, self-esteem
- Community Enrichment:
- Host West End community 5K race and health fair through the 2008 Unity Walk
- Program implementation:
- Currently, The Steward's Staff is developing curriculum and identifying a site for males wishing to become more effective contributors to society. Many programs target females. However, there is a void for males, particularly African-American males.
Founded in 2007, The Steward’s Staff vision is of a world in which every person is equipped with the necessary skills to combat various social obstacles which may impair individuals from obtaining their goals. The Steward’s Staff is dedicated to empowering individuals through leadership development, community engagement, and positive reinforcement of self-awareness and esteem; thereby, ultimately creating a unified world.
